Timber pavilion as a temporary school building

Due to a lack of space, the Hasenacker school building in Männedorf was to be expanded at a later date. Until that point, the Männedorf municipality provided the required school space with the help of a temporary school pavilion. The stopgap solution was planned and implemented using the modular-x modular system.

We used the flexible modules to erect a two-storey school pavilion with a floor space of 510 m2. The building housed two classrooms and space for lunchtime supervision. The basic building block of the temporary structure was a prefabricated room cell with a floor space of 25 m2. Together, three of these room cells formed a classroom.

In addition to wood as the natural material and the modular-x system as the basis, the school pavilion featured an optimised building services concept with monitored ventilation.
