Turning old into new

Adapting a traditional single-family home to changing living conditions is possible – by using a flexible timber construction. As general contractor, we planned and created the conversion of the single-family home, located in a modern patchwork of residential buildings.

In preparation for the extension, our project team drew up a requirements analysis and examined the existing building as part of a meticulous feasibility study. Together with the client, they then developed the solution for the extension. This made it possible to extend the single-family home while also dividing the space into two living units with identical floor plans. In doing so, each parent received their own apartment.

Outside, the pre-greyed larch facade creates a modern appearance for the new home. It also ensures optimal thermal insulation.
