Agricultural timber construction

The timber supporting structure for the organic laying hen stall concept for hosberg ag – which includes an anteroom and lounge – is based on a supported girder design. The flexibility of the timber construction enabled the building to be precisely adapted to on-site conditions. The laminated purlins installed perpendicular to the roof pitch form the secondary supporting structure.

The static dimensions for the timber supporting structure as well as the design plans and working drawings were prepared by the engineers at Blumer-Lehmann AG. The CNC-processed timber structural elements and prefabricated wood elements will be delivered to the site ready for assembly and assembled within a few days. The walls were clad with prefabricated, insulated wood elements. Thanks to the Swiss timber facade, the building blends seamlessly into the surroundings. The roof was clad with sandwich panels.
