Temporary school building at Strickhof Wädenswil constructed from timber modules
A new temporary school building in timber modular construction is being created on the campus of the Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW).
The ground was broken for the new Strickhof building on 7 September 2020. The two existing locations in Wädenswil will be replaced by a two-storey building made from prefabricated timber modules by summer 2021. The building will meet the MINERGIE ECO standard and be fitted with mechanical ventilation and a photovoltaic system. Very soon, the students of agriculture, food and home economics will have an optimal teaching and learning environment at their disposal.
Blumer Lehmann was appointed as general contractor for the construction of the temporary school building and is responsible for the execution and cost planning, the project and site management, and the production and assembly of the building.
