Blumer Lehmann opens a branch for timber construction in Germany
New assembly plant for modular timber construction starts production activity
On 1 March 2021, the necessary equipment began being installed in our assembly hall for modular timber buildings in Großenlüder in the state of Hesse. Commissioning of the approx. 3,000 m2 factory halls is planned for the end of April. Final assembly of our modular and temporary buildings for the German and Nordic markets will be carried out in the production halls. The room modules are assembled from prefabricated elements and then fully equipped with heating, sanitary and ventilation systems and interior furnishings by our partner firms. The standardised building concepts are used to create school buildings, hotels, residential and office buildings as well as sales spaces.
In the new branch, Blumer-Lehmann GmbH Timber Construction | Engineering, we offer the full range of timber construction expertise for innovative timber buildings; from consulting, planning, production and assembly to project management.
Alexander Holl has been responsible for sales and project development in the German market since the beginning of 2021. He has already worked for Blumer Lehmann as a project manager from 2011 to 2017, including the construction of Swatch’s headquarters in Biel.
Dieter Zinkand is responsible for setting up and managing production in Großenlüder. The qualified wood engineer is also very familiar with the company; from 2012 to 2019, he worked at our Swiss plant as Head of Production. During this time, he significantly optimised the production of modular structures.
