New cantonal school building in the Campus Wattwil project

On behalf of the St. Gallen cantonal building department, Blumer Lehmann is creating a replacement building for the Wattwil cantonal school (KSW) that forms part of overarching plans for Campus Wattwil. The architecture is by the architectural firm Gunz&Künzle. In collaboration with Ghisleni Partner AG, they are also responsible for the overall management of the project. Ghisleni Partner AG is also responsible for the project and construction management of the new building. We are joining with S. Müller Holzbau AG, Abderhalden Holzbau AG and Bleiker Holzbau AG to form a working group.

The new, four-level building is a prefabricated timber structure featuring a clear and visible timber support structure as well as storeys set out in an open design. Our primary focus is on developing a customised contractor option for the ceiling structure. We are working in close partnership with the architects, specialist planners and developers to find a solution that satisfies the technical and aesthetic requirements of the project. As joint GC, we also offer delivery and installation of the windows as well as shading solutions and facade work. This enables efficient coordination and guarantees a smooth project flow. We are looking forward to contributing our timber construction expertise to the creation of Campus Wattwil.
