New production facility for elements and modules in Germany
Our new, state-of-the-art production facility for prefabricated timber elements and modules is being built in Steinau an der Strasse in Hesse. The plant will replace our previous production site in Grossenlüder and will start operations in spring 2026.
Over 4,000 square metres of new production space will be created on a 38,000-square-metre site in the first construction phase. This includes around 1,300 square metres of hall space with production lines for wall, ceiling and floor elements and a module line for assembling and dismantling the modules. The facility is designed to produce 400 timber room modules per year and can be expanded further in future.
We will grow our existing team in Germany by bringing on board more carpenters and expert project management in timber construction. We welcome applications from timber specialists in planning, production and erection. Around 70 employees will be working in Germany, 40 of them at the new location in Steinau an der Strasse.
With the new production facility, Blumer Lehmann will be able to advance sustainable modular timber construction in Germany and implement more innovative timber construction projects in schools, residential developments, offices and commercial buildings.
