Innovative new residential and commercial building with lake views

The four-storey Morgensonne residential and commercial building has been designed as an innovative and sustainable timber construction. Our timber construction services included planning and project management as well as the production and erection of wall and roof elements, ceilings, window surrounds, balcony structures and terrace railings.

The building stands in the heart of Erlenbach and includes six business apartments each with 3.5 rooms and views over the lake, as well as two commercial premises on the ground floor. The window surrounds and balconies in larch wood and the terrace railings in chestnut wood form an external design that underpins the nature of the apartment building as a timber construction. With solid construction at basement level, the building features a concrete staircase. The three-storey timber structure was designed over and around this. Thanks to careful preparation and prefabricated elements, it only took two weeks to build the three upper floors and the gable roof. A newly developed wood-concrete composite ceiling with exposed ceiling elements made with BauBuche (engineered beech) was the first of its kind in Switzerland.
