‘Loop’ – the melodic pavilion

In the ‘Loop’, sounds can be heard and felt. Artist Veronika Spierenburg created the urban sound space pavilion in the shape of a loop as part of the exhibition project ‘Neuer Norden Zürich’.

The free-form wooden sculpture measuring 350 x 540 x 400 cm has been standing in a park in Zurich since 2018.

‘Loop’ describes sequences in music that are endless and repeat without varying. Music pavilions and concert chambers were a popular place to meet in the 19th century. Vero Spierenburg combined these two aspects in the sound pavilion, which is open to the public, and invited artists to trigger the sounds of the loop. We supported the creation of the artwork by providing our timber construction and engineering services.  d felt.
