A pavilion for the Chelsea Flower Show

Designed by Marcus Barnett Landscape Design and further developed by Nex Architecture London, the Times Eureka pavilion at Kew Gardens was completed for the world-famous RHS Chelsea Flower Show in London. The Times Eureka pavilion at Kew Gardens designed in collaboration with Marcus Barnett received a silver medal. By combining timber and plastics, the designers created a futuristic eye-catching structure for the horticultural exhibition. The appearance of the pavilion imitates a plant’s cell structure and strongly evokes natural forms. The cell elements comprise three-layer panels filled with prefabricated recycled plastic. Neutral screws and rivets were used for connections wherever possible to optimise the imitation of a natural cell structure.
